Procedural Guidelines and Documentary Requirements on Contract Verification

CONTRACT VERIFICATION FOR DOMESTIC WORKERS:

 

To book an appointment for Contract Verification, kindly visit MWO Qatar’s website, https://polodoha.com/ click APPOINTMENT ONLINE BOOKING at the menu

Note: Appointment slots are opened on the last day of each month for appointments in the following month. Additional appointment slots may become available every Friday.

  • Walk-in (no appointment) clients may be accommodated only under the following conditions:
    • The worker has a confirmed round-trip flight ticket between Doha and the Philippines. The departure flight from Qatar is scheduled within the next three (3) working days.
    • If the worker is already in the Philippines, the return flight to Doha is scheduled within ten (10) days.

Documentary Requirements:

  1. Standard Employment Contract (downloadable from MWO Qatar’s website https://polodoha.com/, downloadable no. 17 click here to download)
    Note: The basic salary should be at least QAR 1,460.
  2. Clear and legible printed copy of the worker’s passport page with his/her information and signature.
  3. Clear and legible printed copy of the worker’s QID (front and back)
    Note: At the back of the QID, it should be in working/job residency, not family residency.
  4. Clear and legible printed copy of the sponsor’s QID (front and back)
    Note: If the sponsor is an ambassador or a staff member of any Embassy assigned to Qatar and their QID does not include a signature, attach a copy of the sponsor’s passport showing their signature.
  5. Valid Health Card or Life and Accident Insurance with 2-year validity.
  6. Cash Payment of QAR 40.00

Note: A printed certificate of employment is required for household workers who have changed their employers or sponsors.

The contract must be signed by both the worker and the employer. If the worker is in the Philippines, a digitally signed document may be accepted provided the contract is legible. If the sponsor is unable to sign, a thumbprint is required in place of the signature.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT FORGE ANY SIGNATURE OR THUMBPRINT!"

 

 For workers not currently in Qatar:

Their contracts may be verified by MWO Qatar through an authorized representative. The representative may visit MWO Qatar within ten (10) days before the worker's return flight to Doha. The following documents are required:

  1. A return flight ticket (visit MWO Qatar 10 days before the flight).

  2. An authorization letter signed by the worker whose contract is being verified. The letter must include the name of the representative who will visit MWO Qatar. The representative must present a valid QID to the guard and reception.

  3. The necessary documentary requirements as stated above.

 

Note: For OWWA membership, another set of documentary requirements is needed.

CONTRACT VERIFICATION FOR PROFESSIONAL/ SKILLED WORKERS

Note: Appointment slots are opened on the last day of each month for appointments in the following month. Additional appointment slots may become available every Friday.

  • Walk-in (no appointment) clients may be accommodated only under the following conditions:

    • The worker has a confirmed round-trip flight ticket between Doha and the Philippines. The departure flight from Qatar is scheduled within the next three (3) working days.

    • If the worker is already in the Philippines, the return flight to Doha is scheduled within ten (10) days.

Documentary Requirements:

  1. Clear and legible printed copy of a valid, digitally attested contract.
    Note: The contract must specify Qatar as the job site and include a basic salary of at least QAR 1,460.

  2. Salary or employment certificate with the following details:

  • Must include the date of issuance

  • The joining date must match the joining date indicated in the contract.

  • The employer/company name should match what is stated in the QID and the contract.

  • The certificate must have the company stamp and the signature of the head of the company or officer-in-charge.

Payslip (as an alternative):

  • Must include the joining date, which should match the joining date indicated in the contract

  • The employer/company name should match what is stated in the QID and the contract.

  • The payslip must have the company stamp and the signature of the head of the company or officer-in-charge.

  1. Clear and legible printed copy of the worker’s passport page with his/her information and signature.

  2. Clear and legible printed copy of the worker’s QID (front and back)
    Note: The company/employer in the QID should match the company/employer stated in the contract and the salary certificate or payslip.

  3. Cash Payment of QAR 40

For workers not currently in Qatar:

Their contracts may be verified by MWO Qatar through an authorized representative. The representative may visit MWO Qatar within ten (10) days before the worker's return flight to Doha. The following documents are required:

        Note: For Government or Semi-Government Workers with Expired Contracts: If a worker's contract has expired and has not been verified, they must bring the old contract for verification. It will be stamped.

For Workers with a Valid, New Contract: They must bring the valid contract along with the latest salary certificate or payslip, copy of their passport and copy of their QID (front and back).

For Workers with Stamped Contracts (Expired or Valid/New): If a worker’s contract (expired or new) has been stamped, every time they go on vacation in the Philippines and return to Qatar, they must bring the latest salary certificate along with the latest payslip, copy of their passport and copy of their QID (front and back).

This ensures that if an immigration officer in the Philippines checks their status upon returning to Qatar, they will have proof of continued employment with their current company.

Note: For OWWA membership, another set of documentary requirements is needed.
